SRE was formed in 2001, when it was incorporated in Singapore. In 2003, SRE set up Shanghai as its China HQ. Subsequently , SRE expanded to 2 sub regions in Chengdu /Sichuan and Nanning/Guangxi due to strong demand of its clients in these regions.
 

Key Directors of SRE were the pioneer senior management team of Capitaland ( CL) Group in Singapore. Before forming SRE, Mr Kelvin Ng CEO and founder of SRE was previously in charge of Capitaland office and retail assets and third party consultancy services. He as also the Founding member of Ascott Group ,which now manages the world largest service apartment Chain. Steven Tan, Executive Director of SRE was then the Director of Asset Management, China . Cecilia Ng was GM of one of Capitaland ‘s earliest Mall in China
 

In 2000, SRE helped BRC ,Chengdu to grow from a medium size firm to expand its knowledge in real estate practices to become the leading developer in Sichuan through training, consulting and global study trips . SRE gained local and international recognition for its performance based approach in executing its services delivery. One of SRE ‘s great achievement was in 2005 when it was selected by Morgan Stanley Asia and Simon Property ( world largest mall and factory outlet developer)to become development consultant for its first foray into China. SRE helped build the In City brand ,which was later sold to Szitic during the financial in 2009
